Pennsylvania has 834 new covid-19 cases Tuesday, per the state Department of Health.
The state also reported 19 additional coronavirus-related deaths.
Total cases are now 151,646, and the death total is 8,023. Pennsylvania surpassed 150,000 covid-19 cases Sunday. The state surpassed 100,000 cases on July 18 and 50,000 cases on May 4.
In Pennsylvania, 429 covid-19 patients are currently hospitalized, with 58 of them on ventilators.
The state Department of Health estimates 81% of cases have recovered.
Tuesday marked the seventh straight day 10 or more deaths were reported in Pennsylvania. Of the 19 newly reported deaths by the state, two are from May, three from June, four from July, two from August and eight from September. A stretch of newly reported deaths like that hasn’t happened since early June.
A pattern of sorts has formed since Sept. 11 for new covid-19 cases in the state. Over a four-day span, 1,000 or more new cases have been reported the first day, with the following three days being under 1,000. This pattern has repeated itself three times now since Sept. 11.
