‘Ghost Hunters’ investigate historic Pa. location

Pennsylvania is a very old place, thus making it a hotbed for paranormal activity.
It’s no surprise, then, that the Travel Channel’s “Ghost Hunters” would want to investigate one of its many historic (and allegedly haunted) buildings.
The Morning Call reports how the recently reunited original cast — Jason Hawes, Steve Gonsalves, Dave Tango, and Shari DeBenedetti — will be searching for spirits at the Sayre Mansion in Bethlehem during an upcoming episode that will air this Saturday at 9 p.m.
The same Morning Call article continues to report how the episode — titled “The Sayre Specters” — will feature the crew using the usual gadgets such as EMF detectors and digital thermometers to not only see if there really are ghosts at the mansion, but to also uncover the house’s “grave secret.”
According to the Sayre Mansion’s website, the 19th century building was once home to Robert Heysham Sayre, the then-vice president and chief engineer of the Lehigh Valley Railroad.
Sayre lived in the mansion up until his death in 1907, raising eight children with four different wives during his time there.
It’s one of these wives that guests believe they’ve seen in a dressing room mirror to this day. Shadowy figures, too, have been spotted around the place, with sheets getting inexplicably tugged off visitors at night and cold spots popping up in a certain room.
So what do you think, reader? Will the cast of “Ghost Hunters” catch anything supernatural on camera?
Decide for yourself by watching the episode this weekend on the Travel Channel.
