An incident involving a moving pickup truck resulted in the death of a 7-year-old girl.

It all happened around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Jolly and Harvard roads in Plymouth Township, Montgomery County, where the young girl and four other children were playing outside when a man from the neighborhood gave them a ride in the back of his Isuzu Elf pickup.

As the driver turned the corner, the 7-year-old girl fell out of the truck. She was transported to a local hospital by a private vehicle and died of her injuries a short time later.

When an autopsy was performed, it was determined the girl died from blunt impact injuries, Fox29 and 6ABC reported.

No other injuries have been reported, nor have any charges been filed at this time.
