Gobbler’s Knob is seen on Groundhog Day, Feb. 2., 2019, where annual fesitivies are held.

Feb. 2 is a loaded date this year.

The usual celebration of Groundhog Day has some company in 2020.

The day starts with Punxsutawney Phil’s 134th prognostication set to run 3 a.m. to 8 a.m. Then, the Pittsburgh Penguins take on the Washington Capitals at 12:30 p.m. on NBC.

Groundhog Day gets super at 6:30 p.m. on Fox with Super Bowl LIV.

It’s the first time that a Penguins game and the Super Bowl fall on Groundhog Day.

The Penguins frequently play on Feb. 2, but it’s only the second time that the Super Bowl has been played on the day. The other occurrence was in 2014 when the Seattle Seahawks beat the Denver Broncos.
