In a recent unexpected home fire, a Peters Township resident was left with nearly $150,000 in fire damage, according to his insurance claim. With a substantial part of his home lost due to the tragic incident, the homeowner, Robert, a retired doctor, wanted to sell his home for cash as quickly and conveniently as possible.

Initially, the seller reached out to a local Peters Township cash buyer who was unable to perform, dragging out the selling process for over three months.

During this stressful time, the process was delayed even further due to his insurance and mortgage company, who were unwilling to provide proof that his insurance claim would be added to the current mortgage payoff. This company told Robert he needed to come out of pocket $60,000 in order to close.

With much frustration and stress for the untimely service with the other cash buyer and mortgage services, this seller reached out to HomeBuyers of Pittsburgh for support.

HomeBuyers of Pittsburgh has helped hundreds of homeowners in the Pittsburgh area sell their homes quickly with a simple and straightforward process.

“The great thing about working with us is that we make the process of selling a home easy to understand even when the situation is complex. We have a simple three-step process for homeowners to sell their home for cash that usually takes 30 minutes or less,” said Ryan Scialabba, manager and licensed Realtor. “And, sometimes situations like this test our experience and our ability to solve problems, but it was very satisfying to be able to deliver a sale for Robert.”

HomeBuyers of Pittsburgh focuses on over-delivering on customer service. Their team took the burden off Robert and his family by personally working with the insurance and mortgage company to ensure his claim was handled correctly and in a timely manner. The HomeBuyers team received an affidavit to work directly with this company, handling the situation within a few days to get everything the legal team needed for closing. Additionally, they were able to get the insurance and mortgage company to confirm in writing they would put the payoff towards the mortgage.

As a result, the seller was able to walk away with cash rather than come out of pocket with a payoff amount. Within a short few weeks time, Home Buyers handled the situation and closed on this property.

A partner of HomeBuyers purchased the home, creating a win-win for all three parties involved.

The HomeBuyers of Pittsburgh team takes pride in their commitment to each individual seller and making the home-selling process as simple and hassle-free as possible, even under unpredictable circumstances.
