A man died in a shooting in Pittsburgh’s East Hills neighborhood early Sunday morning, according to Pittsburgh police.

Police were notified of the shooting, which occurred in the 8000 block of Bennett Street, by three ShotSpotter alerts totaling 28 rounds, police said.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner identified the man as Andre D. Faucette II, 23, of Pittsburgh.

Faucette suffered two gunshot wounds in his head and was transported in critical condition to a local hospital by Pittsburgh EMS. He died shortly after, police said.

Another man walked to a local hospital in stable condition with a gunshot wound around 4:45 a.m. Police said they believe he was injured in the Bennett Street shooting.

Officers from the city’s mobile crime unit processed evidence at the scene, including multiple shell casings and video footage. Violent crime unit detectives are also investigating.
