Funeral arrangements for La Roche University President Sister Candace Introcaso have been announced.

A viewing for Introcaso, who died Monday, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Visitation Chapel in The Commons at Providence Heights in McCandless.

A Mass will be celebrated at the chapel at 11 a.m. Saturday, with a burial to follow at the Sisters of Divine Providence Cemetery. The Mass also will be livestreamed.

University officials said anyone who is fully vaccinated can attend the viewing and the Mass.

A memorial Mass honoring Introcaso’s legacy will be held at the Mother of Divine Providence Chapel at 11 a.m. next Wednesday. It will be streamed on the university’s Facebook page.

The university will host a luncheon following the memorial Mass at the Zappala Campus Center on the school’s McCandless campus.

Introcaso died unexpectedly Monday. She was 69.

She was named the university’s seventh president in 2004 and oversaw the school’s transition from college to university status, an update to the school’s Wright Library and major renovations of the Zappala College Center and Palumbo Science Center.

She was a member of the Sisters of Divine Providence, the congregation that founded La Roche University in 1963.

The congregation is collecting donations in honor of Introcaso and gathering an online photo album where people can share photos and stories of Introcaso.
