A woman was grazed to the head by a gunshot wound in a shooting in Allentown early Sunday morning, Pittsburgh police said. She was treated by medics and taken to the hospital in stable condition.

First responders were notified by 911 and ShotSpotter that someone had possibly been shot in the area of E. Warrington and Allen Street around 1:20 a.m. Officers found the injured woman, who had been dropped off by a vehicle, in the 800 block of E. Warrington Street.

The woman’s friends told police that they were shot at while inside their vehicle after leaving the Hilltop Tavern. Detectives investigated outside the bar and on Allen Street, where bullets hit several vehicles. A witness told police there was an argument on Allen Street and that a man began shooting before running toward Warrington.

Police are investigating the incident.
