Pittsburgh Public Safety said a woman was hurt jumping from a window during a fire in a row house in the 900 block of Memory Lane in the Hill District on Saturday, April 10, 2021.

A woman was hurt when she jumped from a window to escape a fire in the Hill District Saturday, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety.

The fire in the 900 block of Memory Lane was reported around 3 p.m.

According to police, firefighters fought the blaze mainly in one row house, which was extensively damaged. Pittsburgh Public Safety said that proper fire construction on the shared walls kept the flames from spreading.

The woman, a resident, jumped from a window and suffered an ankle injury, police said. She was taken to a hospital in stable condition.

All other residents of all four attached homes were able to get out safely, and all residents were accounted for.

No firefighters were hurt.

The cause and origin of the fire were under investigation.
