Woman accused of shooting at another woman in Unity
A Unity woman is accused of shooting at another woman on Wednesday, state police said.
Marissa Hall, 33, was charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats and recklessly endangering another person.
State troopers were called early Wednesday morning to the Rose Garden Terrace in Unity after there were reports of a woman knocking on doors and screaming for help.
Police found the woman at a nearby store and she told them she was visiting Hall at her home at the terrace. The two were drinking and had an argument that turned into a fight, according to the police report. The woman said she went outside, and Hall locked her out of the house. When she yelled at Hall to try to get her car keys, Hall shot at her with a gun, the woman told police.
Neighbors told troopers that they heard the commotion and the sound of a gunshot. Police found a spent .380 casing outside of the back door and a bullet fragment in the backyard during a search.
Hall told troopers that she shot the gun because she wanted to get rid of the other woman. She was arraigned and taken to the Westmoreland County Prison without bail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 10.
