Another 27 cases of covid-19 were added to Westmoreland County on Friday, according to a report by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
The state also reported one new death, bringing the county’s total to 46.
All of the new cases were confirmed, officials said.
To date, 1,409 people have been infected with covid-19 in Westmoreland County.

In July, the county added 763 cases, more than 54% of its total since March, when the pandemic began. The county averaged 25 new cases per day this month.
In June, the county saw 197 new cases, with a daily average of seven new cases.
Westmoreland County recorded eight new covid-19 related deaths in July, as opposed to June when there were no such deaths recorded.
In all, 28,832 people have tested negative for the coronavirus in the county, making for a 4.7% positivity rate.
