Art

• The Westmoreland Museum of American Art will open the free Winter Lights at the Westmoreland event from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 15 with immersive light experiences, carolers, ice carving, food vendors and a DJ. The exhibit at 221 N. Main St. will continue from dusk to 10 p.m. nightly through Jan. 5. Reservations required. Details and reservations: thewestmoreland.org/calendar.

Church News

• East Suburban Unitarian Church, 4326 Sardis Road, Murrysville, will host a Stone Soup Sunday Nov. 17. The service will be at 10:30 a.m. and homemade soup, bread and beverages will be served afterward. Food items will be collected for donation to the Westmoreland County Food Bank. Public welcome. Fundraisers

• The East Allegheny High School Marching Band will sponsor a holiday craft show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 16 at the high school, 1150 Jacks Run Road, North Versailles. Free admission. A light lunch will be available.

• Jeannette Knights of Columbus hosts bingo at 7 p.m. Fridays in Mersinger Hall at Ascension Church, 615 Division St., Jeannette. Doors open at 6 p.m. and early birds begin at 6:30 p.m. Players younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Smoke-free venue. Food will be available and there will be a 50-50 and instant bingos. • A craft show will be held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 16 at the Latrobe American Legion social hall, 1811 Ligonier St. There will be food, a silent auction and 50-50. Sponsored by the post, proceeds will support local veterans.

History

• Baltzer Meyer Historical Society will host a presentation by author Peggy Fisher 2 to 4 p.m. Nov. 17 at the center, 642 Baltzer Meyer Pike, Hempfield. Fisher will discuss her book, “Daddy Came Home,” which recounts how her father survived the Bataan Death March and being a prisoner of war in Japan.

Meetings

• The Westmoreland County/Laurel Highlands chapter of the American Field Service high school student exchange program will meet at 7 p.m. Nov. 18 at the One Room Schoolhouse, on the grounds of AK Hutchinson Elementary School, 810 Welty St., Southwest Greensburg. • Rostraver Sportsmen and Conservation Association, 539 Cedar Creek Road, will meet at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 18. The club hosts trap shoots from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays, and at 10 a.m. Thursdays and 11 a.m. Saturdays. Public welcome. Details: 724-984-6611 or rostraversca.org.

Special Event

• Greensburg Business and Professional Association will host a Ladies Night Out 4 to 9 p.m. Nov. 14 in downtown Greensburg. Participants will register and receive their punch card at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art, 221 N. Main St., and shuttles will be available throughout downtown. There will be promotions, treats, a basket raffle, cash bar and entertainment. Those who complete their punch card will be entered into a drawing to win an overnight stay for two at Oak Lodge. The drawing will be at 9 p.m. Details: shopgreensburgpa.com/ladies-night.
