Arts

• Westmoreland Performing Arts Professional Theatre Company will present “The Rocky Horror Show” at 8 p.m. and midnight Nov. 1 and 2 at the Greensburg Garden Civic Center. Prop bags will be sold in the lobby with rice, cards, noisemakers, flashlights and newspaper. Tickets: 724-836-8000 or thepalacetheatre.org.

Farmers Market

• Independence Health System Westmoreland will host a farmers market from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 30 at the employee shuttle lot at Frick Hospital, 508 S. Church St., Mt. Pleasant. Everything sold will be locally sourced and produced by the vendor.

Fundraisers

• Latrobe Art Center will host an Oktoberfest at 6 p.m. Nov. 1 at the newly renovated building at 810 Ligonier St., across the street from the center. Must be 21. There will be a themed catered dinner, wood fired pizzas, beverages, a basket raffle, 50-50, gift card raffle and entertainment by the Joe Porembka Orchestra Tribute Band. • Maplewood Presbyterian Church, 108 Woodland Road, Hempfield, will host a rummage sale Nov. 2 at the church. Doors open at 9:30 a.m., bidding will begin at 10 a.m. and items will be sold at noon. Free admission. Proceeds will benefit the church.

• A super bingo will be Nov. 1 at Marian Hall at St. Bartholomew Church, 2538 Route 119, Crabtree. Doors open at 5 p.m. and early birds begin at 6:30 p.m. Admission: $35, and additional packs will be sold. This will be the last Friday night super bingo until March. Regular Sunday bingo will begin to observe winter hours on Nov. 3. Doors will open at 12:30 p.m. and early bird bingo will start at 1:30 p.m. Details: 724-834-9789.

• Bullskin Township Senior Center, 52 Medsger Road, Bullskin, will serve an all-you-can-eat breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. Nov. 2 at the center. Baked goods will be sold. Menu: buckwheat and regular pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits with sausage gravy, ham, potatoes, coffee, tea and juice. Cost: $12; 7 to 11, $6; 6 and younger, free.

• Holy Family Church, West Newton, will have a burger bash from 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 2 and noon to 2 p.m. Nov. 3 at the church, 225 N. Second St. Menu: burger, fries, condiment bar, dessert and drink, $8. Public welcome.

Health

• Independence Health System Westmoreland will offer wellness check diagnostic screenings by appointment from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Nov. 6 in the community room of the Square at Latrobe, 100 Excela Drive. Sponsored by Latrobe Rotary. No walk-ins will be accepted. Appointments and details: 877-771-1234.

Halloween

• South Greensburg Fire Department will host its annual Halloween parade Oct. 31. Registration will be at 5 p.m. at Amos K. Hutchinson Elementary School, 801 Welty St. The parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. Treat bags will be distributed to all registered participants afterward at the fire station, 401 Guthrie St. Trick-or-treat will be from 6 to 8 p.m. The fire department will have an information booth set up at the fire station for anyone who is interested in joining the department.

Meeting

• The Braddock Trail chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet Nov. 2 at the chapter house, 200 S. Church St., Mt. Pleasant. Lunch will be at noon and the meeting will be at 1 p.m. The program will be about Native Americans.

Senior Citizen News

• Irwin Senior Activity Center, 310 Oak St., will have Halloween candy bingo at 12:15 p.m. Oct. 29. A movie day will be at 1 p.m. Oct. 30. The film will be “Bell, Book and Candle.” A Halloween party will be at 11 a.m. Oct. 31. Wear a costume or bright colors and bring a Halloween-themed food or drink to share. Special event

• The Westmoreland Bar Foundation will present a free seminar about fraud prevention from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Nov. 6 at the Westmoreland Bar Association, 100 N. Maple Ave., Greensburg. Speakers from Somerset Trust will discuss consumer and commercial fraud tactics and the preventative actions to take to protect you or your business. Reservations required.
