Class

• Rostraver Sportsmen and Conservation Association, 539 Cedar Creek Road, Rostraver, will offer a hunter and trapper education class for youths and first-time hunters from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 14 at the club. The class is a requirement for first-time hunters and there will be a certification exam upon completion. Those attending must be at least 11 years old. Fundraiser

• The monthly Las Vegas bingo at St. Bartholomew Church will observe summer hours beginning Sunday in the church Marian Hall, 2538 Route 119, Crabtree. Doors open at 5 p.m. and early birds start at 6:30 p.m. Cost: $35, includes specials with over $8,000 available in prize money. Food from the parish fish fry will be available. Meetings

• Mt. Pleasant American Legion Auxiliary will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the post, 752 W. Main St. Dinner can be ordered from the post kitchen.

• The Botanical Society of Westmoreland County will have a business meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Westmoreland Conservation District Barn, 218 Donohoe Road, Hempfield. Guest speaker Ann Talarek will discuss “The Unique Flora of Fallingwater.” Light refreshments will be served. Annual dues of $15 per household or $10 per person will be collected. Dues for Westmoreland County students in elementary, middle or high school or college are free.

Senior citizen news

• North Huntingdon AARP will meet at noon Thursday in Mack Hall, 200 Leger Road. A national AARP representative will lead an informative and fun scan jam/fraud bingo. All senior citizens welcome. Details: call or text 412-841-3528.

• Super Seniors of Westmoreland County will meet at noon Tuesday at Community United Methodist Church, 3487 Route 130, Trafford. Lunch cost: $2. New members welcome. Reservations: Theresa Barry, 724-875-4813.

• Irwin Senior Activity Center, 310 Oak St., will pasta bingo at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday. National Pound Cake Day will be observed March 4. Registration for events and lunch required at least one day in advance. Donations are accepted for all activities. Details: 724-787-1760.

• A Seniors for Safe Driving class will be offered from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 28 at Circleville Church of North Huntingdon, 11600 Parkway Drive. The class is PennDOT approved and for drivers who are at least 55 years old. Safe drivers can receive a 5% discount on auto insurance for three years.
