Westmoreland County adds 19 new cases to covid-19 list

Westmoreland County saw 19 new coronavirus cases added on Monday, according to a report from the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

It is the county’s third straight day new cases have been below 20, the first time that’s happened since June 24-26.

No new deaths were announced Monday, leaving the county’s death toll from covid-19 at 46.

There are seven people currently hospitalized for covid-19 in Westmoreland County, according to the state’s covid-19 dashboard — one of them on a ventilator.

To date, the county has seen 31,208 individual resident tested, with 95.3% testing negative.

Of Monday’s new cases, all were confirmed positives.
