Westmoreland County’s election board on Friday approved a final certification of the May primary for seats on the local Republican and Democratic committees.

Results from those races had been delayed as county election officials counted thousands of write-in votes cast this spring. Election officials earlier this week broke ties in more than 300 races that involved more than 1,600 candidates seeking seats on the county’s Republican and Democratic committees.

The county posted the final results in the committee races on its website.

Democratic committee results can be found here.

County officials earlier this week voted to certify results from the other races on the May primary ballots, including Republican and Democratic nominations for candidates to run for governor, U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives as well as seats in the state House and Senate.
