West Overton Village to host wedding showcase
Those interested in celebrating their special day at a historic site are in luck — West Overton Village will host a free wedding and event showcase with local vendors from 2 to 5 p.m. on April 14.
West Overton is long established as a museum site that most recently returned to its roots to offer whisky distilled at the site. It is considered a focal point of the American industrial revolution as well as being the site of the birthplace of Henry Clay Frick.
Located about a mile north of Scottdale on Route 819, the village features three possible venues and offers multiple wedding and event packages. It has an open-air barn and adjacent grounds. Showcase visitors can receive a 10% discount on fees with a booking during the event.
Local florists, caterers, bakeries, entertainment and other vendors will show off their products and services in the Big Barn and Overholt Room. Attendees can also stop by West Overton’s Distillery for a special cocktail and enter a drawing for a chance to win a rental of the Overholt Room.
Online registration is recommended to help gauge the number of attendees. The event will be held rain or shine.
