A vehicle overturned into Cedar Creek off Ridge Road in Rostraver on Wednesday.

Two people were hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after their vehicle overturned into a creek in Rostraver, according to the Rostraver Central Fire Department.

The vehicle veered from Ridge Road and overturned into Cedar Creek, located near Route 51, according to a social media post from the fire department. The crash occurred around 3 p.m., a Westmoreland County 911 dispatcher said.

Nearby construction workers helped the two occupants out of the car before fire crews arrived to extricate them from the creek, according to the post.

Rostraver West Newton Emergency Services transported the occupants to a local hospital, the post said.

The fire department deferred comment to the Rostraver Police Department. Police Chief Scott Sokol could not be immediately reached for comment Wednesday night.
