Woodland Creatures will open the musical entertainment at this year’s Murrysville Concert in the Park, set for Aug. 12 at Murrysville Community Park.

The Westmoreland County region’s musical and culinary talent will be on display at several upcoming community festivals — all free and open to the public.

All of the festivals will include food and vendor areas along with special events and entertainment for children.

• Delmont Daze, noon to 7 p.m. Aug. 5, with crafts, balloon art, face painting, Weird Eric the magician, food trucks, local spirits from White Valley Distillery, Salem Spirits and Red Barn Winery and more. Live music from On Our Way Home (1 p.m.), the Delmont Concert Band (3 p.m.) and Sweaty Already String Band (4 p.m.). It will be at the Rose Wigfield Parklet, 27 Greensburg St.

• Export’s annual Ethnic Food and Music Festival will be from noon to 9 p.m. Aug. 19 on Washington Avenue. Main stage entertainment will be DeStella Dance Studio (12:15 p.m.), Jack Tady (1 p.m.), The Licks (3:30 p.m.), Americana (5:30 p.m.) and Brothers Kelly (7:30 p.m.). The East End stage bands will be Winery Cats (1 p.m) and Liquor Missiles (3:30 p.m.).

• Murrysville’s annual Concert in the Park will be Aug. 12 with Woodland Creatures (4 p.m.), Abbot’s Cross (5:25 p.m.), RML Jazz (6:30 p.m.) and the Saddle Up Band (8 p.m.). The evening will close with a fireworks display. It is at Murrysville Community Park, 4056 Wiestertown Road.
