A Murrysville massage parlor was raided by police Thursday and one woman arrested on prostitution charges, according to court papers.
Municipal police had been investigating Asian Garden Spa on Route 22 since May after reading several online reviews of the establishment that indicated sexual acts were being performed by employees. An undercover officer paid for legitimate massages there twice and both times the employee offered to perform a sexual act for $40. Police said the officer refused.
Murrysville police got help serving a search warrant at the spa Thursday by authorities from Lower Burrell, Westmoreland County detectives and agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Two women were found inside, one of whom was identified as Weihong Wang, 63. Her address on court filings was listed as the spa.
It was unclear if the other woman was taken into custody.
Police accused Wang of offering the sex act to the undercover officer. She is charged with prostitution and was being held at the Westmoreland County Prison on $75,000 bail. She didn’t have an attorney listed in online court records. A preliminary hearing is set for Sept. 23.
ICE was putting a detainer on her, according to court papers.
