Police: Baby stepped on, woman beaten in Latrobe altercation

State police in Greensburg are investigating an alleged altercation where a man severely injured a woman and stepped on a baby last month in Latrobe.

The incident occurred just before 8:45 p.m. Dec. 28.

State police reported that the man, 42, struck the woman, 38, several times with a closed fist, causing severe injury to her nose, right eye and right cheek. The man also stepped on a 6-month-old who was on the floor between them.

Police didn’t identify the suspect or the victims.
