Health officials on Wednesday reported no new coronavirus cases and no new virus-related deaths in Westmoreland County.

The case count stands at 419, and state data has caught up with the county coroner’s count of virus-related deaths: 32.

Of those deaths, 25 individuals previously tested positive for covid-19, according to coroner Ken Bacha. Seven are presumed virus deaths determined by symptoms.

Across the state, health officials reported 134 more deaths from the virus along with 707 new positive cases. Those new numbers bring the state’s totals to 3,943 deaths and 58,698 cases.

Westmoreland County is set to move into the yellow phase of the state’s tiered reopening plan on Friday. The phase means some eased restrictions, and some retail stores will be able to reopen with mitigation guidelines.
