Murrysville police were looking for a car that fled after hitting a pedestrian, according to a Westmoreland 911 dispatcher.

The male victim was hit near the intersection of William Penn Highway and Vincent Hall Road at about 1:15 p.m. Thursday. His injuries appeared to be minor, the dispatcher said.

An alert issued by police stated the collision was the result of a road-rage incident.

The white male suspect in his early 20s was reported to have been wearing a Penn-Trafford Warriors knit cap. He was driving a silver Lincoln MKZ, according to the alert.

Murrysville’s police chief could not immediately be reached.
