Assisted living facility fire in North Huntingdon
Emergency services were called to an assisted living facility Wednesday morning.
Westmoreland County 911 said a fire had started in a bathroom of Walden’s View Personal Care Home on Route 30 in North Huntingdon. Residents did not need to be evacuated, and the fire was put out shortly after crews arrived.
Jefferson Hills restaurant closing
After 68 years of service, Blue Flame Restaurant in Jefferson has announced that it’s closing its doors for good on Sunday.
The restaurant opened in 1956 and has been family owned and operated since, according to a statement on their website.
“Over the decades, many family members have worked in the business, not only to help us grow, but to help us survive during challenging times,” the statement read. “We thank you for all the love and support for we could not have done it without you.”
