The third annual Ted Hayes Memorial Bike Ride/Run/Walk to benefit the Westmoreland Heritage Trail will be Aug. 26 at the Slickville Firefighters Pavilion.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. with the event kickoff at 10 a.m. Along with Bill O’Hara, Hayes oversaw development of the first section of trail, from Slickville to Saltsburg. He was an active volunteer and trail board member.

The ride/walk/run will leave from the pavilion, 3028 Route 819 in Slickville, and go to Saltsburg and back, with a picnic lunch, auction baskets and entertainment to follow.

Registration is $35.

To register, call 724-972-3414 or email hshearer513@comcast.net.
