Fans of wine, cider, painting or jazz are in for a treat during Latrobe’s September Shop Hop night.

On Wednesday, Shop Hop Nights will host “Sip n’ Stroll Art Walk,” a night filled with live music, local artists and samples from local wineries and cideries.

Festivities will kick off at 4 p.m. Attendees can visit all participating merchants for the wine tasting and the Chamber of Commerce visitor center for the cider tasting.

Additionally, artists will actively paint, and Kyle Greene will perform jazz music downtown during the event, which will conclude at 7 p.m.

Wineries contributing samples include Own Brook Winery, Christian W. Klay Winery and Raspberry Acres Winery. Tattiebogle CiderWorks will provide the cider samples.

Artwork featured during the night will be for sale through the art center.

“This is such a wonderful opportunity to promote the talent and work by our member artists,” said Latrobe Art Center Executive Director Michael Tusay.

Wednesday will be the city’s second annual Art Walk.

The following Latrobe merchants will participate:

The Paper Heart (selling bottles of Own Brook Winery)

Eclectique (selling Raspberry Acres Winery products)

The Greater Latrobe- Laurel Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center (selling Tattiebogle CiderWorks cider)

Green Goddess

Terri’s Gourmet Sweet Treats

512 Coffee & Ice Cream

R. Klean Meals Kitchen

Mangata Massage & Holistic Practices

Latrobe Art Center

Carmine’s Pizza & Pasta and Scotty G’s Pizzeria will be open for dining.

Those who wish to participate in the wine and cider tasting should check in outside of the art center to receive a wristband at 4 p.m.
