Nearly four years after police seized drugs and almost $10,000 from a Jeannette man, he was sentenced to serve up to nine years in prison, according to Westmoreland County District Attorney Nicole Ziccarelli’s office.

Larry Frederick, 35, was arrested in February 2021 after investigators seized from his home nearly 3 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 70 grams of cocaine, less than a gram of crack cocaine, marijuana and stamp bags that may have contained fentanyl.

Frederick was found guilty on nine counts, including possession with intent to deliver and other narcotics-related offenses, the district attorney’s office said. Common Pleas Judge Timothy Krieger sentenced Frederick to 4½ to nine years in prison.

Investigators in 2021 also confiscated $972 from Frederick, $8,116 found inside a pair of men’s shoes in his home and $650 from a then-17-year-old boy who was also arrested. At the time, the teenager was charged with drug and conspiracy offenses and held at the Regional Youth Services Center in Hempfield.

Philadelphia County authorities issued in November 2021 a detainer for Frederick relating to a drug case from eight years prior.
