With 100% of the relevant precincts reporting, primary results in the Star’s coverage area are as follows as of 10 p.m.:
DELMONT COUNCIL
Dennis Urban (R, 48%) and Becky Matesevac (R, 43%), 79 total write-in votes (45 Democrat, 34 Republican).
Write-in votes are a factor in this race because there are three open seats and only two candidates.
County elections Director Beth Lechman said as long as a write-in candidate receives at least 10 votes in the primary, he or she will be added to November’s general election ballot.
EXPORT COUNCIL
John Nagoda (D, 80%), Vince Harding (R, 91%), Joe Ferri (R, 46%) and David Silvis (R, 46%), 29 write-in votes (20 Democrat, 9 Republican).
