If you ever wanted to own some memorabilia connected to the creator of everyone’s favorite neighborhood, now’s your chance.

Contents from Fred Rogers’ family summer home are being sold this month in an online public auction.

The available items, which span generations, are from two houses, a cabin, a wood shop and multiple garages in Unity. Rogers’ sister and brother-in-law, Nancy Rogers Crozier and Dan Crozier, owned the buildings and contents before their respective deaths in 2019 and 2013.

Antiques and modern collectibles are up for grabs in three auctions. The first and second auctions, which feature contents from the Croziers’ main house and summer home, are live. The third auction will start soon, according to seller Reed’s Auction Co.

As children, Fred and Nancy spent their summers at the Old Orchard Drive property, and the Croziers later made the summer property their permanent home. Jason Reed, who co-operates the auction company, said it’s an honor to represent the Rogers family in the auction.

“I grew up in Latrobe. Mr. and Mrs. Crozier were a big part of the community,” Reed said. “How many opportunities do you have in your lifetime to come across the family that has been so giving to this community?”

Contents in the sale include sterling silver sets, artwork, vintage toys, a large Arnold Palmer autograph collection and an autographed Evgeni Malkin Penguins jersey. Proceeds will go to the Croziers’ family members.

The first and second auctions are slated to end Nov. 15 and 20, respectively. On Nov. 11, the public can view the items from the first and second auctions at the Old Orchard Drive property.

Directions to the property can be found on the Reed’s Auction Co. website.

The company, which specializes in estates, will ship winning items anywhere in the United States.
