Downtown Latrobe will be decked out in pink Aug. 3.

The city will welcome Flamingo Bingo for its August Shop Hop Night. Eleven merchants will participate from 4 to 7 p.m.

Additionally, DJ Dark Shark will provide summer tunes in the Latrobe Parklet, and participants can enjoy a raffle and limbo at 5:30 p.m.

“There’s a lot of fun happening,” said Emily Pasqualino, organizer of Shop Hop Nights and owner of The Paper Heart Social Goods and Event Studios.

During Flamingo Bingo, participants can find bingo cards at one of the 11 participating merchants. They will then travel to merchants to find bingo letters.

After participants get a bingo, they will submit their cards to the Shop Hop information table in the parklet.

On Thursday, Shop Hop organizers will draw one of the completed cards to determine who will win flamingo prizes and two tickets to Latrobe Art Center’s Yellow Tie Gala.

This is the second year Shop Hop Nights has hosted Flamingo Bingo. Pasqualino said the 2021 event had a “great turnout.”

These merchants will participate: Latrobe Art Center, Ricolita’s Café, The Paper Heart, Eclectique, Green Goddess, Terri’s Gourmet Sweet Treats, 512 Coffee & Ice Cream, Rose Style Shoppe, GLLV Regional Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center, Ground Zero and Mangata Massage & Holistic Practice.

Additionally, Carmine’s Pizza & Pasta and Scotty G’s Pizzeria will be open for dining.

The event is free and registration is not required.
