Elliott Group announced the opening of a new manufacturing facility in India as part of an expansion there.
The new facility is equipped to design, manufacture and test steam turbines as well as house employees and a training center, according to a news release. The company has its U.S. headquarters in Jeannette.
“This new facility will allow us to better serve our in-country customers and new clients, and it will be strategic in the growth of our business,” Nick Dorsch, vice president of industrial products, said in the release.
The Elliott Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Tokyo-based Ebara Corp., supplies compressors and turbines for liquefied natural gas plants. The new 5,000-square-meter facility was added to the company’s existing center in the Bidadi Industrial Area near Bengaluru, India.
