Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Laurel Region annual benefit concert
At 7 p.m. Saturday, The Clarks will be taking the stage at The Palace Theatre, 21 West Otterman St. in Greensburg, for their 16th year at the annual Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Laurel Region benefit concert.
Tickets range from $28 to $50. All proceeds benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters. Gene the Werewolf will perform as special guest.

Annual artisan market
Saturday at 11 a.m. marks the opening day of You Are Here Jeannette’s annual artisan market at 406 Clay Ave. Shop local for handmade art and crafts for between $1 and $150. This year, You Are Here is introducing You Are Here gift certificates that can be redeemed for artwork, workshops or at Oh, Scrap!

Compass Inn Museum by candlelight: Celebrating harvest-time
Ligonier Valley Historical Society’s Compass Inn Museum, in Laughlintown, will host its annual Harvest Candlelight Tour of the early 1800s Stagecoach Inn 4-8 p.m. Saturday.
Guests will experience what life was like at night during the early 19th century. They can visit the cookhouse to learn from chefs using open hearth and beehive oven cookery and recipes and ingredients inspired by the harvest of the 18th and 19th centuries. Visitors can hear about the history of the current-day Thanksgiving celebration and watch a demonstration from the Compass Inn blacksmiths.
Admission is $14 for adults, $12 for adults 62 and older and $10 for youths. Admission is free for age 5 and younger, members and active military. For details, visit compassinn.org.
A “how-to” art afternoon at the Green Beacon Gallery
On Saturday, instructor Rachael Caskey will host a class about artist trading cards and show some examples she’s created. The cards are small works of art, the size of a playing card, that artists from around the world exchange with each other by mail. She will teach about the concept of the cards, how they were created and how they affect the art world. Guests will have the opportunity to create their own trading cards and will be able to take home their creations or trade after class.
Supplies will be provided. Guests over 21 can bring alcohol to sip on during the event. Participants of all ages can bring snacks. All ages and skill levels are welcome.

Delmont Cyclocross Race
At 9 a.m. Saturday, bikers will gather at Shields Farm to race in the Delmont Visionary Committee Cyclocross Race. The race consists of a course featuring wooded trails, grass, steep hills, rough surfaces and obstacles built on the hills of Delmont.
Because this race is on Veterans Day, organizers are offering a $10 off race registration to all veterans.
Food and drinks, including beer by Yellow Bridge Brewery, will be available for purchase. Admission is free for spectators. All proceeds will benefit Delmont Visionary Committee.
