Weekend events in Westmoreland County begin on Friday with a block party at Live Casino Pittsburgh, continue with a car cruise at Bushy Run battlefield in Penn Township, and wrap up with a wet sale at The Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art (SAMA) at Ligonier Valley.
Live Casino Pittsburgh Block Party
From Friday through Sunday, Live Casino Pittsburgh will be hosting a block party featuring more than 70 local vendors, a carnival, live music, food trucks and a beer garden in the casino parking lot on Route 30 in Hempfield. A kids corner will be at the event offering family-friendly activities.

Cub Scouts Adventure Day
Hosted by Westmoreland Fayette Council and Boy Scouts of America, Cub Scouts Adventure Day is a two-hour event that acquaints interested members with activities that would be completed in the program.
From 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, guests are invited to Westmoreland Fayette Council building at 2 Garden Center Drive, Greensburg, to play free games, eat s’mores and learn about local scouting programs. Participants can see a fire truck from a local station, and Hull Vending food truck and McFeely’s ice cream truck will be on site.

11th Annual Classic Car Cruise
Bushy Run Battlefield, Route 993 in Penn Township, is once again opening its parking lot to classic and custom cars, trucks, or modified vehicles. On Saturday from noon until 4 p.m., guests can enjoy classic cars, music and entertainment, food and drink, a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle.
There will be free admission to the event as well as the museum that day. All proceeds benefit Bushy Run Battlefield.

Feeding the Spirit Fall Fundraiser
Feeding the Spirit’s annual “Harvest Happening” fall fundraiser will be hosted from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday at Moreland at Waterworks, 1817 S. Broad St. Ext. in South Greensburg.
$20 admission includes live music from The Bookends, appetizers, basket raffles, 50/50 and a cash bar. All proceeds benefit the mission of Feeding the Spirit.
Feeding the Spirit is a Greensburg based group dedicated to overcoming the barriers of poverty, hunger and homelessness. It was recently named nonprofit of the year by the Westmoreland County Chamber of Commerce.

Ligonier Wet Sale
The Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art (SAMA) at Ligonier Valley will host its annual Fall Plein Air Paint Out and Wet Sale this weekend. Over the course of this week, more than a dozen artists visited the Ligonier Valley, painting a variety of scenes from local state forests, overlooks and local attractions.
The museum will hold an exhibit and “wet sale” from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday with light refreshments. Open to the public free of charge, the wet sale offers an opportunity to purchase the freshly painted works and meet the artists.
SAMA will be retaining works for view and purchase through Oct. 14th. The paint out will offer $500 in cash prizes. This year’s prizes are sponsored by the children of Anita Manoli in honor of their mother and by the SAMA Auxiliary.
