Hey, tonight
They’re flyin’ across the land, tryin’ to get a hand, playin’ in a travelin’ band.
They’re Green River, the Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute act that will wrap up the SummerSounds concert season at 7 p.m. Friday in Greensburg’s St. Clair Park.
Green River’s website says the four-piece group offers a faithful recreation of a live CCR performance, with classics such as “Bad Moon Rising,” “Proud Mary and “Up Around the Bend”; others like “Born on the Bayou” and “Susie Q” that CCR turned into live jams; and a few John Fogerty solo classics like “The Old Man Down the Road” and “Centerfield.”
Pre-show music will be by Gashouse Annie.
Admission is free; donations to support the series are taken during the evening.
