Travel photos
Jeannette resident Rob McLaughlin will display his photos depicting the beauty and culture of Italy and Ireland from 4-9 p.m. Friday and noon-4 p.m. Saturday at the Jeannette Area Historical Society, 415 Clay Ave.
The exhibition is offered in honor of the late John Howard, who was a well-known local photographer and historical society founder. Many of the photos will be for sale, with proceeds to benefit the society.
Friday hours will feature a wine and cheese tasting provided by Greenhouse Winery. Light refreshments will be served Saturday. Admission is free.

Works of conscience
A free opening reception for “Adrift,” a collaborative exhibition of works of “conscience” in sculpture and printmaking, is planned for 5-8 p.m. Friday at StopWatch Gallery & Studio, 323 S. Main St., Greensburg.
Works created by gallery owners Marti Haykin and Marc Snyder address issues such as the plight of immigrant children at the southern border, the pandemic and the environment. Haykin’s work features babies sculpted in clay and then cast in concrete. Snyder’s work consists primarily of woodcuts and linocuts hand-printed on muslin.

Local favorites
Western Pennsylvania’s favorite rockers, The Clarks, with special guest Bill Deasy, have scheduled two weekend shows at The Lamp Theatre, 222 Main St., Irwin. Concerts will begin at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
For 30-plus years, The Clarks have been plying audiences with original songs such as “Cigarette,” “Born Too Late” and “Penny on the Floor.” Singer-songwriter Deasy was a member of Pittsburgh bands Shiloh and The Gathering Field.
A ticket to either show is $25.

Support for students
A craft and vendor show is planned for 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at Clairview School, 215 Donohoe Road, Hempfield.
Several dozen local vendors and crafters will offer wares including jewelry, nail art, plants, stuffed animals, greeting cards, pillows, candles, wreaths and woodworking. Crafts made by Clairview students also will be sold.
The event will include a bake sale, basket raffle and the Ash & Kris Kitchen and Hoshi food trucks.
Proceeds will benefit the purchase of wheelchair-accessible picnic tables.

Classical concert
The Saint Vincent College Concert Series will present soprano Jennifer Rivera, accompanied by Mark Carver on piano, at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Robert S. Carey Performing Arts Center on the Unity campus.
The program will feature works by Johann Strauss, Fernando Obradors and Manuel de Falla.
A member of the the vocal faculty at Miami University of Ohio, Rivera is a promoter of new music and performs with symphonies and operas and on other stages nationally and internationally.
Carver debuted at age 15 with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. He has been an artist-in-residence at institutions in Mexico and Germany. He is an associate teaching professor of collaborative piano at Carnegie Mellon University and lay ecclesial minister in music for the Diocese of Pittsburgh.
