With the temperature slowly creeping into the 50s, there are plenty of options for outdoor and indoor activities this weekend in Westmoreland County.

Art installation

On Saturday, the Westmoreland Cultural Trust is collaborating with Olde Towne Overhaul and New Ken Downtown Partnership to unveil its 13th pair of wings at Gazebo Park in New Kensington at 9 a.m.

The park is located at the intersection of Eighth Street and fifth Avenue. The unveiling is open to the public and happening in coordination with New Kensington’s third annual Restaurant Ramble, taking place later that afternoon.

In addition to New Kensington, Westmoreland Cultural Trust has installed 12 wing locations throughout the county. Wing locations include Greensburg’s Art in the Alley, Pitt-Greensburg campus, Overly’s Country Christmas, Jeannette’s Sobel’s Obscure Brewing, Ligonier Town Hall, Mt. Pleasant Public Library, Trafford Municipal Building, Vandergrift’s Casino Theatre, Five Star Trail in Youngwood, Smithton Borough Building, the Lamp Theatre in Irwin and West Newton Municipal Building.

Circle K Easter egg hunt

The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg’s Circle K group will host a community Easter egg hunt on campus, 150 Finoli Drive in Hempfield. A youth branch of the Kiwanis, the Circle K group has been hosting the event for the past eight years.

The hunt will start at 1:30 p.m. and will feature approximately 5,000 eggs filled with candy and prizes on the lawn in front of Chambers Hall. Special appearances will be made by real bunnies, Bruiser the Bobcat and the Easter Bunny.

Leanne Morgan at The Palace Theatre

Actress, comedian and author Leanne Morgan will be performing her comedy set “Just Getting Started” at The Palace Theatre, 21 W. Otterman St. in Greensburg on Friday.

At 7 p.m., Morgan will tell her story of journeying through motherhood and selling her own jewelry at house parties while finding comedy amidst the chaos.

Community Easter egg hunt

The city of Greensburg’s Parks and Recreation Department invites community members for an Easter egg hunt at Lynch Field, 520 New Alexandria Road, on Saturday.

There will be four hunts taking place throughout the day. Each hunt is organized by age. Parents are invited to help their children ages 2 and under hunt for eggs at 1:30 p.m. Hunts are open to children up to 12 years old.

Participants are asked to bring their own basket or bag to collect eggs during the hunt. For more information, visit allevents.in.

Classical concert by candlelight

In celebration of 200 years of worship, Christ Church in Greensburg, 145 N. Main St., will be hosting a classical music concert at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Music will be played by the Amaci String Trio. The event is free to attend, and refreshments will be provided.
