21 new covid-19 cases reported in Westmoreland County

There are 21 new coronavirus cases and no new deaths in Westmoreland County, the Pennsylvania Department of Health reported Wednesday.

The new cases come from 527 tests, representing a 3.98% positivity rate for those cases. All of the new cases are confirmed.

The county case total now stands at 1,054, with 1,025 of those confirmed and 29 probable.

The death total remains at 39.

This month, the lowest number of cases reported in a day in Westmoreland County was 16, the highest was 36. Most days in July, the county has seen daily cases counts over 20, with only two days having less than that.

The highest daily case count in the county came on April 25 when 43 coronavirus cases were reported.
