Weeknight closures of 62nd Street Bridge ramp to Etna scheduled through mid-June

Overnight closures of the 62nd Street Bridge ramp to South Main Street in Etna will begin Wednesday night, PennDOT announced.

The ramp from the 62nd Street Bridge, or southbound Route 8, to South Main Street will be closed to traffic from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. weeknights through mid-June, PennDOT said.

The closures will allow crews to restore pavement. Ramp traffic will be detoured.

The posted detour will be:

• From southbound Route 8, turn right onto Kittanning Street;

• Turn left onto Butler Street;

• Turn left onto Bridge Street;

• Turn left onto Main Street;

• Turn right onto Fifth Street;

• Follow Fifth Street to South Main Street.

Information about conditions on major roadways is available online at 511pa.com. The site provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to traffic cameras.
