West Deer officials have cancelled Sunday’s community festival because of a forecast of bad weather.

Parks and Recreation Director Amy Stark made the announcement early Saturday evening during what was scheduled to be the first of a two-day event at Bairdford Park.

Township officials feared muddy conditions in the baseball outfields where the festivities took place. The event was scheduled for noon to 7 p.m.
