Residents of Sheldon Park held their 26th annual Community Day on Friday outside of the Hayden Community Center in Harrison.

Among the scheduled attractions for kids were pony rides, face painting, caricatures, a bouncy house, and foam machine.

Sheldon Park is operated by the Allegheny County Housing Authority. It is assisted by the Sheldon Park Council, made up of residents.

Resident Ava Johnson was presented a Make A Difference Award her 21 years of service on the council.

Among the speakers invited were housing authority CEO Frank Aggazio, state Sen. Lindsey Williams (D-38th), and state Rep. Mandy Steele (D-33rd), District Judge Carolyn Bengel, and Alle-Kiski Health Foundation CEO John Pastorek. Harrison is part of the districts served by Williams and Steele.
