An employee at the Sheetz store in Buffalo Township tested positive for covid-19 on Monday.

The employee was working at the store at 717 S. Pike Road on Monday, according to Nick Ruffner, a public relations manager for Sheetz.

The store was immediately closed after the positive test result. It will be deep-cleaned, sanitized and disinfected before it reopens.

Gas pumps also are being sanitized.

“We are taking an abundantly cautious approach, working with all employees who may have had close contact with this employee and exceeding all sanitization guidelines,” Ruffner said.

All employees will be fully paid while the store is closed, he said.
