Single-lane traffic restrictions will be in effect on southbound Route 28 near Harmar beginning Tuesday morning.

PennDOT announced the restrictions Monday. The right-hand lane leading to the Harmar exit (Exit 11) will be closed while crews perform guardrail and slope reestablishment work in the area.

The exit ramp, itself, will remain open during the work.

Motorists should expect delays. The restrictions are expected to remain in effect until June 30.

The work is part of a $27.68 million highway restoration project on Route 28 between Harmar/I-76/Route 910 (Exit 11) and Russellton/Creighton (Exit 13) interchanges.
