PennDOT announced the closure on River Road in Parks Township will be extended through Aug. 4 due to weather delays.
The road is closed between Industrial Park Road and Montgomery Lane so crews can repair a pipe. The detour is to cross the Leechburg Bridge to Leechburg Hill Road, Route 56 to Vandergrift and across the Vandergrift bridge to River Road.
Motorists should use caution and expect delays.
