Lenten luncheons, services planned

Leechburg

The Leechburg Ministerium will host the final Lenten lunch at 11:45 a.m. Friday at Cross Roads Community Presbyterian Church, 271 Main St. Donations will be accepted to support the ministerium emergency voucher fund.

Tarentum

There will be Lenten lunch and worship service Wednesday at First Baptist Church, 410 E Third Ave., Tarentum. The service begins at noon and lunch will be served afterward. The Rev. Robert Henry of Allegheny Valley Association of Churches will be the speaker. People of all faiths and denominations are welcome.

Vandergrift

Kiski Area Association of Churches will sponsor a free weekly community Lenten lunch Friday at Vandergrift Presbyterian Church, 195 Washington Ave. A prayer service will begin at noon with a community speaker and light lunch will be served afterward.

Washington Township

The Apollo Ministerium will sponsor a Lenten lunch and service at noon Wednesday at Quality Life Services, 153 Goodview Drive, Washington Township. The Rev. Erika Rabickow of Apollo Free Methodist Church will be the speaker.

Music, worship planned at The Tomb

The Tomb, 1821 Fifth Ave., Arnold, will host a night of worship with Allen and Dennis from the music group Sinners to Saints from 6:30 to 8 p.m. April 12. Public welcome.

Students to present living Stations of the Cross

Students from St. Kilian Church in Cranberry will present living Stations of the Cross at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary, Mother of God Church, 608 High St., Freeport.

The event is free and the public is welcome.

Bible study group to meet at Central Presbyterian Church

Central Presbyterian Church, Tarentum, will host a traditional Bible study series, “Parables and the Reign of God,” at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, 305 Allegheny St. The series will conclude May 13. A different parable will be discussed each month. Visitors are welcome. For details, call 724-224-9220.
