David’s Diner in Springdale Township was broken into early Sunday, but the suspect didn’t make off with anything, Allegheny Valley Regional Police said.
The break-in was reported shortly after 4:30 a.m. The Facebook page for the diner said the restaurant would be closed for the day. It is normally open from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sundays.
A phone message left at the diner wasn’t immediately returned late Sunday morning.
Police Chief Mike Naviglia said nobody was hurt and nothing was taken from the diner, which is located along Freeport Road just downriver from the New Kensington Bridge.
“We just had a broken window,” he said.
Naviglia said additional information may be available Monday.
