A New Kensington man is accused of indecent assault in connection with an alleged incident involving a 13-year-old girl in Brackenridge.
Police said Kristopher Skufca, 19, met the girl through a friend on social media, but he told her that he was 16. A criminal complaint filed in the case said that Skufca kissed the girl and place
d her hand on his genitals over his clothing while at a friend’s house on June 3.
Police said Skufca was first arrested in June. Charges were withdrawn during a Sept. 11 preliminary hearing before District Judge Carolyn Bengel on the condition that he have no contact with the girl, but he allegedly violated that agreement two days later.
Police said Skufca contacted the girl on the social media site Snapchat, telling her to “send me a heart if you would stop me from committing suicide.”
New Kensington police arrested Skufca on Wednesday afternoon.
He is charged with indecent assault and unlawful contact with a minor, both felonies, and a misdemeanor count of corruption of minors, according to court records.
Skufca was sent to Allegheny County Jail in Pittsburgh after being denied bail during an arraignment before Bengel, court records showed. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 30.
