Pittsburgh Brewing's St. Patrick's Day event to feature festivities, parade
The Pittsburgh Brewing Co. is getting ready to paint East Deer green for the second year in a row.
The brewery’s Irish City St. Patrick’s Day Celebration will take place Saturday, March 15 at Pittsburgh Brewing, 150 Ferry St. in the township’s Creighton neighborhood.
The event is for people 21 and older.
Tickets are available online. More than 2,000 people attended last year’s inaugural event.
“Pittsburgh Brewing is thrilled to bring back the Irish City Celebration for its second year,” said brewery spokeswoman Rachel Gill. “We plan to grow this event annually and hope it becomes a staple for people in Western Pa.”
People can start their day with “Kegs & Eggs,” from 8 to 10 a.m. in the brewery’s taproom. Tickets cost $30 and include general admission to the rest of the festival.
General admission tickets cost $15 and include a free green beer while supplies last, live music, food trucks, a cigar bar, yard games, photo booths, a golf simulator and tattoo artists.
Designated driver tickets are available for $5 at check-in.
The day also boasts a parade, said brewery publicist Ronda Zegarelli. The parade starts at 10:30 a.m. and begins at East Deer Memorial Park on Front Street, turns right onto Freeport Road and ends at the brewery.
