The Allegheny County Department of Public Works announced Monday that periodic single-lane closures will begin at 6 a.m. Oct. 31 on River Road in Harrison.

The restrictions, which are expected to end in November, will take place from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays between Mile Lock Lane and Federal Street.

Work to be completed includes milling and paving; drainage improvements; shoulder work; and installation of guardrails, signage and pavement markings.

Motorists are advised to be alert for brief stoppages.

A. Folino Construction Inc. of Oakmont is completing the work as part of the $7.3 million 2022 Capital Roads contract.
