PennDOT schedules road maintenance in Westmoreland County

PennDOT officials on Tuesday said numerous maintenance projectshave been scheduled for Westmoreland County this week.

Crack or joint sealing will take on Leechburg Road in Lower Burrell, Bushy Run Road in Penn Township and Belle Vernon Monessen Road in Rostraver Township.

Shoulder repairs will take place on Baker School Road in Penn Township while pipe installation/drainage will take place on Bell Memorial Church Road in Unity Township.

Also, bridge work will take place on Schafer Drive in Upper Burrell as well as West Pittsburgh Street in Scottdale.

Bridge washing will take place on Route 70 in South Huntingdon Township and on various routes in Murrysville and spray patching is scheduled on Route 70 in East Huntingdon Township and Ligonier Street in Donegal Township.

Sweeping will take place on Route 119 in Hempfield and South Huntingdon Township.

And pipe flushing will take place on Knupp Road in Fairfield Township and Main Street in Cook Township.

In addition, patching will take place on the following roads:

• Route 66 in Washington Township

• Greensburg Road in Washington Township

• Bell Memorial Church Road in Unity Township

• Vance Dei Cas Highway

• Guffey Road in North Huntingdon

Shoulder stabilization will take place on the following roads:

• Main Street in Donegal Township

• Stahlstown-Ligonier Road in Ligonier Township

• Clay Pike Road in Mt. Pleasant Township

• Jones Mill-Stahlstown Road in Donegal Township

• Bethel Church Road in Cook Township
