A little fire truck and a playhouse are among the new playground pieces installed in Fireman’s Memorial Park in Aspinwall.

Imagination will get a workout at Fireman’s Memorial Park in Aspinwall now that the borough has installed new playground equipment there.

Kids can race to an imaginary fire or play house using two new pieces. Other new equipment includes two spring-based rocking rides and a three-bay swing.

Borough Manager Melissa Lang O’Malley said the project cost $67,000.

It was paid for through a $52,800 state Department of Community and Economic Development grand and $14,200 in borough matching funds.

The project was completed in late August.

The park is located at the end of Ninth Street.
